Core Drilling
We specialise in core drilling to allow for fitting pipes, cables and ducts.
Our core drills have the ability to drill either wet or dry and can drill any wall from 30mm up to 250mm and up to a depth of 750mm.
We were commissioned to change the air conditioning units in a hotel where the old units needed to be removed and decommissioned and new units fitted. New holes were core drilled through brick and block work walls from 30mm up to 160mm to fit the pipework.
On this occasion, the internal walls consisted of stud work and due to the dimensions, DTA built new timber backing boards as fireplaces with a timber hearth, together with architrave and a painted finish.
Due to our client being a hotel, it was necessary that all works were completed throughout the daytime period when the guests were out.
All units were required to be up and running and rooms clean and tidy again by the evening.
